The Greyhounds (12-6) will now prepare for their match against Derby (Derby, CT). The Red Raiders go into the Naugatuck Valley - Copper match with a 6-11 record. In their last match, Derby was nudged by Oxford (Oxford, CT), 12-2, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, Pomperaug falls to 7-11 on the season. The Panthers host Joel Barlow (Redding, CT) to battle the Falcons in a Southwest - Patriot challenge on Monday, May 16. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 14-2. Joel Barlow won 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Masuk (Monroe, CT)
