Benedictine Bengals (Cleveland, OH) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the host Clay Eagles (Oregon, OH), 8-7 in a non-league battle.
The Bengals now have a 1-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. John's Jesuit for a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 17. Benedictine will clash with a Titans squad coming off a 12-5 non-league loss to Varsity Opponent (, ). The Titans record now stands at 14-4.
In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Grosse Ile Red Devils (Grosse Ile, MI) in a Division 2 District 7 battle, on Saturday, May 21. Clay will attempt to move on its 0-13 season record.
