In Saturday's non-league contest, the Alma Panthers (Alma, MI) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Powers Catholic Chargers (Flint, MI), by a margin of 12-4.
With the triumph, Alma moves its record to 1-4 on the year. The Panthers travel to Garber (Essexville, MI) to play the Dukes in a Tri-Valley - East contest on Tuesday, May 17. The Dukes come into the contest with a record of 21-5. Garber won 7-1 in their recent non-league contest against Midland (Midland, MI)
In their next game, the Chargers play the Pinconning Spartans (Pinconning, MI) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, May 14. Powers Catholic will attempt to move on its 3-20 season record. The Spartans come into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 12-2 league loss to Clare (Clare, MI).
