In Tuesday's non-league game, the host Ellington Knights baseball team scored a tight 11-6 victory over the Portland Highlanders.
The Knights (4-12) will now prepare for their game against Haddam-Killingworth (Higganum, CT). The Cougars go into the non-league game with a 15-4 record. In their last game, Haddam-Killingworth tipped Middletown (Middletown, CT), 1-0, in a non-league game.
The Highlanders (7-11) will now prepare for their game against Old Lyme (Old Lyme, CT). The Wildcats go into the Shoreline - Small game with a 9-9 record. In their last game, Old Lyme was overwhelmed by North Branford (North Branford, CT), 2-1, in a league game.
