Bishop Ludden Gaelic Knights (Syracuse, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Weedsport Warriors (Weedsport, NY), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Gaelic Knights now own a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they host Fabius Pompey for a Section 3 Patriot challenge on Thursday, May 16. Bishop Ludden will battle a Falcons squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Tully (Tully, NY). The Falcons record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Weedsport falls to 6-10 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Cato-Meridian (Cato, NY) to battle the Blue Devils in a Section 3 Patriot National challenge on Wednesday, May 15. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 9-2. Cato-Meridian won 12-1 in their recent league challenge against Hannibal (Hannibal, NY)
