In Tuesday's non-league outing, the host Lakeland Lakers softball team scored a nice 13-1 win over the Hamilton Marines.
Coming up next, the Lakers encounter the Garrett Railroaders (Garrett, IN) in a Northeast Corner outing, on Thursday, May 16. Lakeland will attempt to improve on its 11-12 season record. The Railroaders enter the outing with a 9-15 record after their 4-0 league loss to Prairie Heights (LaGrange, IN).
The Marines (0-7) will now prepare for their outing against Lakewood Park Christian (Auburn, IN). The Panthers enter the non-league outing with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, Lakewood Park Christian beat Fort Wayne South Side (Fort Wayne, IN), 20-3, in a non-league challenge.
