Illinois High School Softball - Providence Catholic bounces Wheaton Academy

The Providence Catholic Celtics routed the visiting Wheaton Academy Warriors softball squad by a final score of 10-0 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Celtics (19-8) will now prepare for their battle against Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, IL). The Raiders go into the non-league battle with a 5-19 record. In their last battle, Bolingbrook was routed by Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL), 6-5, in a league battle.

The Warriors now possess a 4-17 record. They play next when they travel to Elgin for a non-league battle on Friday, May 17. Wheaton Academy will meet a Maroons squad coming off a 13-8 league win over Aurora East (Aurora, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 5-21.
