The Narragansett Mariners baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Scituate Spartans to 1 in the Mariners non-league win on Wednesday.
The Mariners now hold a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they host St. Raphael Academy for a Division 2 test on Thursday, May 15. Narragansett will play a Saints team coming off a 6-2 league win over Middletown (Middletown, RI). The Saints record now stands at 10-5.
With the defeat, Scituate drops to 9-7 on the year. The Spartans travel to Classical (Providence, RI) to play the Purple in a Division 3 test on Thursday, May 15. The Purple go into the test with a record of 3-13. Classical lost 4-3 in their recent league test against Providence Country Day (East Providence, RI)
