In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Nevada Tigers baseball team scored a close 6-3 win over the Pittsburg Dragons.
The Tigers (16-12) will now prepare for their game against Clinton (Clinton, MO). The Cardinals go into the Class 4 District 10 game with a 14-6 record. In their last game, Clinton nudged Midway (Cleveland, MO), 5-3, in a non-league game.
Next, the Dragons play the Parsons Vikings (Parsons, KS) in a Southeast Kansas game, on Thursday, May 15. Pittsburg will attempt to improve on its 10-10 season record. The Vikings go into the game with a 4-11 record after their 10-0 league loss to Independence (Independence, KS).
