The New Washington Mustangs (New Washington, IN) baseball trounced the visiting Shawe Memorial Hilltoppers (Madison, IN), 13-3 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 4-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Central for a Southern challenge on Thursday, May 15. New Washington will clash with a Rebels team coming off a 11-2 non-league loss to North Harrison (Ramsey, IN). The Rebels record now stands at 6-9.

With the defeat, Shawe Memorial drops to 0-16 on the year. The Hilltoppers host Rising Sun (Rising Sun, IN) to clash with the Shiners in a Ohio River Valley challenge on Friday, May 16. The Shiners go into the challenge with a record of 3-10. Rising Sun lost 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against South Dearborn (Aurora, IN)
