The Providence Catholic Celtics baseball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting St. Patrick Shamrocks to 7 in the Celtics non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Providence Catholic advances its record to 20-11 on the season. The Celtics travel to St. Rita (Chicago, IL) to battle the Mustangs in a Chicago Catholic - Blue match on Thursday, May 15. The Mustangs come into the match with a record of 13-16. St. Rita won 7-2 in their recent league match against Loyola Academy (Wilmette, IL)

The Shamrocks now have a 15-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nazareth Academy for a East Suburban Catholic match on Saturday, May 17. St. Patrick will battle a Roadrunners squad coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to Andrean (Merrillville, IN). The Roadrunners record now stands at 24-6.
