The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Bellmont Braves (Decatur, IN) and the visiting DeKalb Barons (Waterloo, IN), observed Bellmont's softball team prevail over DeKalb by a tally of 17-9.

The Braves (9-9) will now prepare for their bout against East Noble (Kendallville, IN). The Knights go into the Northeast Eight bout with a 15-6 record. In their last bout, East Noble knocked off West Noble (Ligonier, IN), 21-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Barons clash with the Hicksville Aces (Hicksville, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, May 17. DeKalb will attempt to advance on its 10-11 season record. The Aces go into the bout with a 10-13 record after their 7-3 non-league loss to Tinora (Defiance, OH).
