The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans (Bushnell, IL) and the host Peoria Heights Patriots (Peoria Heights, IL), observed Bushnell-Prairie City's softball team prevail over Peoria Heights by a tally of 21-8.
The Spartans (2-24) will now prepare for their bout against Stark County (Toulon, IL). The Rebels go into the non-league bout with a 11-13 record. In their last bout, Stark County was routed by Bureau Valley (Manlius, IL), 4-3, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Spartans (Woodhull, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, May 20. Peoria Heights will attempt to advance on its 1-10 season record.
