In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Cape Henlopen Vikings softball team scored a tight 9-2 victory over the Padua Academy .
The Vikings (18-0) will now prepare for their match against Lake Forest (Felton, DE). The Spartans go into the non-league match with a 18-1 record. In their last match, Lake Forest tipped Milford (Milford, DE), 7-1, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the battle the Milford Buccaneers (Milford, DE) in a non-league match, on Thursday, May 15. Padua Academy will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record. The Buccaneers go into the match with a 9-7 record after their 7-1 non-league loss to Lake Forest (Felton, DE).
