In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Red Bud Musketeers softball team scored a nice 10-0 victory over the Carbondale Terriers.
The Musketeers (22-7) will now prepare for their match against Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL). The Lancers go into the non-league match with a 10-15 record. In their last match, Lincolnwood was routed by Tri-City (Buffalo, IL), 1-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Terriers battle the Murphysboro Red Devils (Murphysboro, IL) in a non-league match, on Thursday, May 15. Carbondale will attempt to better on its 8-11 season record. The Red Devils go into the match with a 7-19 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Centralia (Centralia, IL).
