The Monmouth Academy Mustangs (Monmouth, ME) softball routed the host Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME), 7-1 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

The Mustangs now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oak Hill for a non-league outing on Friday, May 16. Monmouth Academy will encounter a Raiders team coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Lisbon (Lisbon Falls, ME). The Raiders record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Maine Central Institute moves to 2-2 on the season. The Huskies travel to St. Dominic (Lewiston, ME) to encounter the Saints in a non-league outing on Saturday, May 17. The Saints come into the outing with a record of 4-3. St. Dominic won 7-0 in their recent non-league outing against Mount View (Thorndike, ME)
