The Muncie Central Bearcats got by the host Blackford Bruins baseball team by a count of 3-2 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Bearcats now possess a 9-12 record. They take the field next when they host Kokomo for a non-league bout on Saturday, May 20.

Next, the Bruins face the Jay County Patriots (Portland, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, May 16. Blackford will attempt to move on its 14-10 season record. The Patriots enter the bout with a 11-12 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Delta (Muncie, IN).
