Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the South Adams Starfires (Berne, IN) and the visiting Blackford Bruins (Hartford City, IN), witnessed South Adams's softball squad tip Blackford by a count of 9-8.
The Starfires now sport a 13-7 record. They play next when they travel to Madison-Grant for a non-league match on Tuesday, May 16. South Adams will meet a Argylls squad coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Cowan (Muncie, IN). The Argylls record now stands at 21-3.
With the loss, Blackford moves to 3-16 on the season. The Bruins travel to Daleville (Daleville, IN) to meet the Broncos in a non-league match on Friday, May 19. The Broncos go into the match with a record of 7-9.
