Lisbon Greyhounds (Lisbon Falls, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Carrabec Cobras (North Anson, ME), 17-2 in a league challenge.

The Greyhounds now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hall-Dale for a Class C South challenge on Wednesday, May 17. Lisbon will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 18-2 league win over Dirigo (Dixfield, ME). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-0.

With the loss, Carrabec falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Cobras host Monmouth Academy (Monmouth, ME) to battle the Mustangs in a Class C South challenge on Wednesday, May 17. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 11-0. Monmouth Academy won 6-5 in their recent league challenge against Winthrop (Winthrop, ME)
