The Central Valley Academy Thunder routed the host Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils softball squad by a final score of 9-1 in Monday's league battle.

The Thunder (7-10) will now prepare for their battle against Holland Patent (Holland Patent, NY). The Golden Knights go into the Section 3 Tri-Valley battle with a 4-9 record. In their last battle, Holland Patent was routed by Oneida (Oneida, NY), 3-2, in a league battle.

The Red Devils now possess a 0-13 record. They play next when they host Camden for a Section 3 Tri-Valley battle on Tuesday, May 16. Vernon-Verona-Sherrill will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 15-4 league win over Notre Dame (Utica, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 19-0.
