The Yorktown Tigers (Yorktown, IN) softball routed the host Northeastern Knights (Fountain City, IN), 13-2 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Tigers (13-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Cathedral (Indianapolis, IN). The Fighting Irish enter the non-league challenge with a 16-8 record. In their last challenge, Cathedral beat East Central (St. Leon, IN), 5-4, in a non-league challenge.

With the loss, Northeastern falls to 13-9 on the campaign. The Knights host Daleville (Daleville, IN) to face the Broncos in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 17. The Broncos enter the challenge with a record of 7-8. Daleville lost 11-1 in their recent league challenge against Shenandoah (Middletown, IN)
