Ticonderoga Sentinels (Ticonderoga, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Peru Nighthawks (Peru, NY), 13-9 in a league challenge.

The Sentinels now own a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Beekmantown for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Wednesday, May 17. Ticonderoga will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 7-4 league win over Northeastern Clinton (Champlain, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, Peru falls to 9-4 on the campaign. The Nighthawks travel to Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY) to battle the Hornets in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Tuesday, May 16. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 9-2. Plattsburgh lost 12-10 in their recent league challenge against Beekmantown (Plattsburgh, NY)
