Windham Eagles (Windham, ME) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME), 13-2 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they host Portland for a Class A South challenge on Wednesday, May 17. Windham will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 14-3 league loss to Cheverus (Portland, ME). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-7.

With the loss, South Portland falls to 9-3 on the campaign. The Red riots host Thornton Academy (Saco, ME) to face the Trojans in a Class A South challenge on Wednesday, May 17. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 5-7. Thornton Academy won 5-3 in their recent league challenge against Scarborough (Scarborough, ME)
