Alcoa Tornadoes (Alcoa, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Johnson County Longhorns (Mountain City, TN), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Tornadoes now own a 43-3 record. They take the field next when they host Bledsoe County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 18. Alcoa will face a Warriors squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Meigs County (Decatur, TN). The Warriors record now stands at 16-9.

With the loss, Johnson County falls to 10-15 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Meigs County (Decatur, TN) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 17. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 29-2. Meigs County won 5-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Bledsoe County (Pikeville, TN)
