The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Nokomis Warriors (Newport, ME) and the visiting Belfast Lions (Belfast, ME), saw Nokomis's softball squad nip Belfast by a count of 3-0.

The Warriors now sport a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hermon for a Class B North match on Friday, May 17. Nokomis will face a Hawks squad coming off a 15-9 league win over John Bapst Memorial (Bangor, ME). The Hawks record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Belfast falls to 9-3 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Cony (Augusta, ME) to face the Rams in a Class B North match on Friday, May 17. The Rams enter the match with a record of 5-6. Cony won 23-6 in their recent league match against Waterville (Waterville, ME)
