Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Lordsburg Mavericks (Lordsburg, NM) and the host Jal Panthers (Jal, NM), witnessed Lordsburg's softball squad tip Jal by a count of 16-12.

The Mavericks now sport a 14-11 record. They play next when they travel to Loving for a non-league match on Wednesday, May 15. Lordsburg will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 9-2 league win over Eunice (Eunice, NM). The Falcons record now stands at 21-2.

With the loss, Jal moves to 12-14 on the season.
