In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Longmeadow Lancers (Longmeadow, MA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Pope Francis Prep Cardinals (Springfield, MA), by a margin of 28-16.
With the triumph, Longmeadow moves its record to 8-8 on the year. The Lancers travel to Minnechaug Regional (Wilbraham, MA) to play the Falcons in a non-league contest on Friday, May 17. The Falcons come into the contest with a record of 3-7. Minnechaug Regional lost 11-2 in their recent non-league contest against Leominster (Leominster, MA)
In their next game, the Cardinals play the Hampshire Regional Raiders (Westhampton, MA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, May 17. Pope Francis Prep will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record.
