Maine High School Softball - Sanford topped by Westbrook

In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Westbrook Blue Blazes (Westbrook, ME) softball team overwhelmed the host Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME), by a margin of 20-5.

With the triumph, Westbrook moves its record to 3-9 on the year. The Blue Blazes host Kennebunk (Kennebunk, ME) to play the Rams in a Class A South contest on Friday, May 17. The Rams come into the contest with a record of 7-7. Kennebunk lost 9-1 in their recent league contest against Windham (Windham, ME)

In their next game, the Spartans play the Massabesic Mustangs (Waterboro, ME) in a non-league contest, on Friday, May 17. Sanford will attempt to move on its 0-12 season record. The Mustangs come into the contest with a 5-6 record after their 12-11 league loss to Marshwood (South Berwick, ME).
