The Middlesex Bluejays baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting South Plainfield Tigers to 4 in the Bluejays non-league win on Thursday.
The Bluejays now hold a 14-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Edison for a non-league test on Saturday, May 17. Middlesex will play a Eagles team coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Carteret (Carteret, NJ). The Eagles record now stands at 13-11.
With the defeat, South Plainfield drops to 13-9 on the year. The Tigers host North Hunterdon (Annandale, NJ) to play the Lions in a non-league test on Thursday, May 15. The Lions go into the test with a record of 12-11.
