Ohio High School Baseball - Piqua edges Springfield

The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Piqua Indians (Piqua, OH) and the host Springfield Wildcats (Springfield, OH), saw Piqua's baseball team gain a win over Springfield by a tally of 4-2.

The Indians (11-13) will now prepare for their battle against Covington (Covington, OH). The Buccs enter the non-league battle with a 11-10 record. In their last battle, Covington held off Riverside (De Graff, OH), 5-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Wildcats face the Fairborn Skyhawks (Fairborn, OH) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, May 22. Springfield will attempt to upgrade on its 7-16 season record. The Skyhawks enter the battle with a 8-13 record after their 11-3 non-league loss to Oak Hills (Cincinnati, OH).
