The Acorn Tigers softball squad (Mena, AR), was routed 11-3 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host Izard County Cougars (Brockwell, AR)

With the triumph, Izard County improves its record to 14-6 on the year. The Cougars travel to Woodlawn (Rison, AR) to face the Bears in a non-league contest on Friday, May 16. The Bears enter the contest with a record of 30-4. Woodlawn won 15-0 in their recent non-league contest against Magnet Cove (Malvern, AR)

The Tigers now hold a 5-7 record.
