Hawthorne Cougars (Hawthorne, CA) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Bolsa Grande Matadors (Garden Grove, CA), 20-10 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Hawthorne improves its record to 12-13 on the year.

The Matadors now hold a 9-17 record.
