Kentucky High School Softball - Somerset bounces Lincoln County

The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY) and the visiting Lincoln County Patriots (Stanford, KY), observed Somerset's softball team get by Lincoln County by a tally of 6-2.

The Briar Jumpers (10-15) will now prepare for their bout against Russell County (Russell Springs, KY). The Lakers go into the non-league bout with a 13-15 record. In their last bout, Russell County was routed by Wayne County (Monticello, KY), 9-8, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Model Patriots (Richmond, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, May 16. Lincoln County will attempt to advance on its 10-20 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 15-5 record after their 14-9 non-league win over Shelby County (Shelbyville, KY).
