The Belleville East Lancers (Belleville, IL) softball the visiting Breese Central Cougars (Breese, IL), 6-2 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Lancers now sport a 28-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Collinsville for a non-league outing on Tuesday, May 19. Belleville East will encounter a Kahoks team coming off a 16-0 non-league loss to Triad (Troy, IL). The Kahoks record now stands at 6-20.

With the loss, Breese Central moves to 16-14 on the season. The Cougars host Salem (Salem, IL) to encounter the Wildcats in a non-league outing on Monday, May 18.
