Auburn Rockets (Auburn, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Oxford Pirates (Oxford, MA), 18-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Rockets now own a 11-6 record. They take the field next when they host Nipmuc Regional for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 20. Auburn will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 5-2 league win over Douglas (Douglas, MA). The Warriors record now stands at 12-5.

With the loss, Oxford falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Pirates host Leicester (Leicester, MA) to battle the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 18. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 1-5. Leicester lost 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Notre Dame Academy (Worcester, MA)
