Spectators at Monday's league match between the Cheverus Stags (Portland, ME) and the visiting Falmouth Navigators (Falmouth, ME), witnessed Cheverus's softball squad prevail over Falmouth by a count of 12-2.

The Stags now sport a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Thornton Academy for a Class A South match on Tuesday, May 17. Cheverus will face a Trojans squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Noble (Berwick, ME). The Trojans record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Falmouth moves to 0-10 on the season. The Navigators host Bonny Eagle (Standish, ME) to face the Scots in a Class A South match on Wednesday, May 18. The Scots go into the match with a record of 3-7. Bonny Eagle won 13-8 in their recent league match against Gorham (Gorham, ME)
