The L.C. Bird Skyhawks softball team scored 20 runs and limited the host Meadowbrook Monarchs to 4 in the Skyhawks non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, L.C. Bird improves its record to 5-11 on the year. The Skyhawks travel to Powhatan (Powhatan, VA) to clash with the Indians in a Dominion game on Tuesday, May 17. The Indians come into the game with a record of 14-4. Powhatan won 2-1 in their recent league game against Clover Hill (Midlothian, VA)

In their next game, the Monarchs clash with the Dinwiddie Generals (Dinwiddie, VA) in a Central game, on Tuesday, May 17. Meadowbrook will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Generals come into the game with a 12-4 record after their 19-3 league win over Colonial Heights (Colonial Heights, VA).
