In Monday's non-league contest, the Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL) softball team overwhelmed the visiting MacArthur Generals (Decatur, IL), by a margin of 10-0.
With the triumph, Lincoln moves its record to 19-12 on the year.
In their next game, the Generals play the Springfield Southeast Spartans (Springfield, IL) in a Central State Eight contest, on Tuesday, May 17. MacArthur will attempt to move on its 6-25 season record. The Spartans come into the contest with a 0-15 record after their 2-0 league loss to Lanphier (Springfield, IL).
