Loogootee Lions (Loogootee, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Shoals Jug Rox (Shoals, IN), 12-0 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tecumseh for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 19. Loogootee will battle a Braves squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Heritage Hills (Lincoln City, IN). The Braves record now stands at 23-5.

With the loss, Shoals falls to 1-13 on the campaign. The Jug rox travel to Orleans (Orleans, IN) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 17. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 4-13. Orleans lost 8-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Salem (Salem, IN)
