Liberty Hawks (Madera, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Coalinga Horned Toads (Coalinga, CA), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Hawks now own a 16-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Taft for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 18. Liberty will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 8-3 non-league win over Cabrillo (Lompoc, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 20-7.
With the loss, Coalinga falls to 17-7 on the campaign.
