The Huntley Red Raiders (Huntley, IL) softball nipped the host Fremd Vikings (Palatine, IL), 4-3 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Red Raiders (24-6) will now prepare for their bout against Marist (Chicago, IL). The RedHawks go into the non-league bout with a 27-2 record. In their last bout, Marist held off St. Charles North (St. Charles, IL), 14-4, in a non-league bout.
The Vikings now possess a 18-8 record. They play next when they travel to Hersey for a non-league bout on Wednesday, May 17. Fremd will confront a Huskies squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over New Trier (Winnetka, IL). The Huskies record now stands at 18-6.
