Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Rainier Mountaineers (Rainier, WA) and the visiting Kalama Chinooks (Kalama, WA), witnessed Rainier's softball squad tip Kalama by a count of 8-2.

The Mountaineers now sport a 14-3 record. They play next when they travel to Forks for a non-league match on Wednesday, May 17. Rainier will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 8-5 non-league loss to Montesano (Montesano, WA). The Spartans record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Kalama moves to 9-13 on the season.
