California High School Softball - Pioneer holds off Rosemont

May 16, 2023: Woodland, CA 95776

Pioneer Patriots (Woodland, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Rosemont Wolverine (Sacramento, CA), 6-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 21-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oakdale for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 18. Pioneer will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 9-1 non-league win over El Capitan (Merced, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 19-7.

With the loss, Rosemont falls to 14-5 on the campaign.

This game is a part of the 2023 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Softball Playoffs - Division 3 tournament
