Highland Trojans (Highland, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors (Hammond, IN), 5-4 in a non-league test.

With the win, Highland upgrades its record to 8-17 on the season. The Trojans travel to Morgan Township (Valparaiso, IN) to play the Cherokees in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 18. The Cherokees enter the contest with a record of 8-13. Morgan Township lost 9-6 in their recent non-league contest against South Central (Union Mills, IN)

The Warriors now sport a 8-10 record. They take the field next when they host Hammond Central for a non-league contest on Monday, May 20. Hammond Bishop Noll will play a Wolves squad coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Hammond Academy of Science & Tech (Hammond, IN). The Wolves record now stands at 6-15.
