The Montclair Mounties baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Passaic Indians to 3 in the Mounties non-league victory on Thursday.
The Mounties (16-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Caldwell (West Caldwell, NJ). The Chiefs come into the SEC - American challenge with a 12-14 record. In their last challenge, Caldwell got by Mountain Lakes (Mountain Lakes, NJ), 10-3, in a non-league challenge.
With the defeat, Passaic falls to 14-7 on the season. The Indians travel to Hackensack (Hackensack, NJ) to encounter the Comets in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 17. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 15-9. Hackensack lost 8-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Nutley (Nutley, NJ)
