Stewartville Tigers (Stewartville, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Byron Bears (Byron, MN), 6-3 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 15-3 record.

With the loss, Byron falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Chatfield (Chatfield, MN) to battle the Gophers in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 17. The Gophers enter the challenge with a record of 13-6. Chatfield won 13-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Plainview-Elgin-Millville (Elgin, MN)
