Schuylerville Horses (Schuylerville, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Coxsackie-Athens Riverhawks (Coxsackie, NY), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Horses now own a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mechanicville for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 21. Schuylerville will battle a Red Raiders squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Greenville (Greenville, NY). The Red Raiders record now stands at 12-3.

With the loss, Coxsackie-Athens falls to 10-4 on the campaign.
