Indiana High School Softball - River Forest bounces Merrillville

The River Forest Ingots routed the visiting Merrillville Pirates softball squad by a final score of 18-8 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Ingots (9-8) will now prepare for their battle against Hammond Morton (Hammond, IN). The Governors go into the non-league battle with a 9-8 record. In their last battle, Hammond Morton was routed by Hammond Bishop Noll (Hammond, IN), 17-0, in a non-league battle.

The Pirates now possess a 2-20 record. They play next when they travel to Lake Central for a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 21. Merrillville will confront a Indians squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Marist (Chicago, IL). The Indians record now stands at 28-1.
