Midd-West Mustangs (Middleburg, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mifflinburg for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 17. Midd-West will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Muncy (Muncy, PA). The Wildcats record now stands at 14-4.

With the loss, Shamokin Area falls to 13-4 on the campaign.
