Springfield Tigers (Springfield, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove Falcons (Lamberton, MN), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Minnesota Valley Lutheran for a Tomahawk challenge on Tuesday, May 21.

With the loss, Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Falcons host Russell-Tyler-Ruthton (Tyler, MN) to face the Knights in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 17. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 14-3. Russell-Tyler-Ruthton won 5-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Murray County Central (Slayton, MN)
